New stars are getting confirmed for K-dramas on a weekly basis, so let’s take a look at 10 additional stars who are anxious to take on new roles for drama fans this year.

1. Park Shin Hye

In the second half of this year, the Doctor Crush actress returns to television in the TVN series Memories of the Alhambra.
Her character is an orphan who embarks on a trip to Spain to continue her studies.

2. Hyun Bin

The Secret Garden star would end his 3 year acting hiatus with a role in Memories of the Alhambra. He plays alongside Park Shin Hye as the investment company CEO who falls in love with her during his stay in Granada, Spain.

3. Rain

On May 25, the Please Come Back, Mister actor returns to K-dramas in the JTBC action series Sketch. He will play a genius detective with a sixth sense and executive ability set on catching a serial killer.

4. Lee Sun Bin

She joins Rain’s new series Sketch as a psychic detective. She has the ability to sketch predictive drawings that show what will happen three days in the future.

5. Lee Dong Gun

He’s also confirmed for Sketch and signed on to play a member of the special operations command.

6. Ji Sung

In the second half of this year, and The Entertainer actor leads the series the romantic fantasy Knowing Wife as a bank employee that makes a magical decision which alters the future of his and his wife’s lives.

7. Yoo Yun Suk

In July, the Doctor Romantic actor plans to give drama fans a bad case of second lead syndrome in TVN’s historical melodrama Mr. Sunshine as the tragic character who falls in love with Kim Tae Ri. He’s the son of a poor butcher who traveled to Japan to seek a better life.

8. Lee Byung Hun

The Iris actor will star as an Korean turned American soldier in Mr. Sunshine. His character returns to Korea after leaving as a boy in 1871.

9. Kim Tae Ri

Kim is signed on to play an aristocrat’s daughter and Lee Byung Hun’s love interest in Mr. Sunshine.

10. Park Hae JIn

The Cheese in the Trap star is taking on several roles in the MBC’s mystery rom com Four Men. Park takes on four different personalities as he plays identical brothers.
